The good news!
dualmonitorbabes.com is officially up and running and all the wallpapers are moved over (with the exception of the ones that were not actually dual monitor wallpaper, and the ’soccer babes’ and ‘unknown babe’ which will not be moved over). This site has been in the making for such a long time. I don’t really know why it took me so long to finally make it a reality, but now that it is, I am so happy!
The bad news for apexad.net
What this means is that from this point on I will no longer be adding any new dual monitor wallpapers to apexad.net. They will instead only show up on dualmonitorbabes.com, so if you’ve bookmarked, or subscribed to my rss feed just for the wallpaper, change it now!
The sigh of relief…
Search engines really seem to like my dual monitor wallpaper, so for at least awhile, I will leave the current dual monitor wallpaper page intact at apexad.net until dualmonitorbabes.com starts to get some traffic. I will make an official announcement on apexad.net when the section is finally removed.

dualmonitorbabes.com almost ready
At the huge risk of taking a large amount of traffic away from apexad.net, I have been working quite a bit on getting dualmonitorbabes.com ready to be the place for my dual monitor wallpaper gallery.
dualmonitorbabes.com is still using wordpress, but unlike a blog, the front page is not my lists of posts, but a static page that at some point will have ‘Latest Added’ and ‘Most Popular’ sections below some informational text. The posts are actually on a separate ‘News’ page. The ability to have posts on a different page and a static page as the front page was a new feature in Wordpress 2.1 that I found an awesome way to use!
At least for the time being I plan to use NextGen gallery just like apexad.net does. However, I am going to utilize it to make something similar to widescreenbabes.com. Speaking of widescreenbabes.com, I went ahead and sent them my 5 Kirsten Dunst wallpapers so hopefully they’ll be up on there soon because I am not going to be putting them on dualmonitorbabes.com since they’re not for dual monitors. Widescreenbabes.com already had my Jessica Alba wallpaper on their site.
The split of apexad.net
Eventually I would like to split apexad.net into 3 different sites.
All of the Keira Knightley, Keeley Hazell, Tamsin Egerton, and Jessica Alba stuff will go to keirablog.com.
All of the posts and the gallery for Dual Monitor wallpaper will go to dualmonitorbabes.com.
Finally, this will leave apexad.net which I will transition to be about entertainment including movies, video games, and anything that strikes me as interesting.
As to when this will happen is anyone’s guess, but I have the 2 extra domains and it is only a matter of time before I make the split.
apexad.net/wallpaper goes NextGEN
I have changed my wallpaper page to use the NextGEN Gallery plugin. It’s not as simple as the Lazy-K gallery was and thus I am able to better display and manage my wallpapers. It adds lots of cool features for me, the one uploading wallpaper. As an example, I can use it to call up Jessica Alba wallpapers for you:

Clicking on the above images or by actually going to my wallpaper page you will also notice it is fully web 2.0′ifed for the user (you). It uses javascript and even flash to make browsing through wallpaper (or any images) really easy.

Keira, Keeley, Kirsten/Kiki, Master Chief, Milla, Jessica to the Back!
I’ve added a few more background options for my site. Now you can choose from the following:
- Keira Knightley in a red overcoat (default)
- A red Audi TT (the car I want)
- Jessica Alba chilling in a brick building
- Kirsten Dunst (Kiki) in some ‘plastic bubbles’
- Keeley Hazell Topless (which I marked as NSFW and Censored below)
- Master Chief of Halo 3 fame
- The Resident Evil: Extinction promotional poster (featuring Milla Jovovich)
I tried to generally keep all the backgrounds I chose mostly fairly dark with some red to match my color scheme. Master Chief and Keeley Hazell don’t exactly fit that but I think both of those still look good, and you could argue that Keeley does fit it if you catch what I up talking about on that.
Otherwise, I made the code for the backgrounds of my site really awesome. All I have to do is add entires for the backgrounds into an array in my header file, and upload the pictures. This means it will be very easy to add tons more in the future, but I am done with it for now. My main goal for this initial set was to try and make all facets of my ‘target audience’ happy and I think these should cover it.
Of course, I’ll have to add Maria Sharapova later, but I’ll do a separate post for that final one. It’s becoming a regular occurrence on my blog to do “don’t forget about Maria Sharapova” posts and I want to keep it that way. She’s not really a model, actress, or celebrity…she’s famous for being an athlete, so in that regard I kind of like to treat her special.
