THE FINAL POST
This is it, this blog has now been moved to blog.apexad.net where it will no longer be updated. It was an interesting thing to maintain a ‘blog’ for this long, but my interests have moved on now. I would like to thank everyone who read my blog, everyone who will read it, and a special thanks to anyone who took the time to comment.
I don’t know what the future holds, but bye for now!
The end draws near
I started this blog in July of the year 2006. As it approaches nearly 2 years old I am just as confused about what it’s really about now more than ever.
- In the past I’ve tried to say it’s about celebrities, video games, and all around entertainment.
- I’ve used it to make extra income with payperpost and google adsene.
- I’ve used it as a way to meet some really great people who leave awesome comments.
- I’ve used it as something to do when I have to mark tons of comments as Spam every once in awhile so I am not promoting poker sites, x rated sites, or experimental drugs.
Lately though, I hardly find the time to post and when I do its just a tidbit about my life as I don’t have time time or want to really put much effort into posts anymore. I think I can honestly say that this blog will end soon.
A small update to the theme (to make it safer for work)
A long time ago, before Wordpess 2.5 I worked pretty hard on making it so that the reader of my blog could select the background and it would save this preference via a cookie. I had a couple of keira knightley backgrounds, a halo 3 background, a milla jovovich background, a packer background, and more.
I have yet to find the will and time to go that far again, but I have at least started doing the migration towards bringing it back.
You can now use the original background of this theme, called nebula, by going to http://apexad.net/?back=nebula. I hope to try and add more soon, but it might be awhile.
Ahh! Only $3 left for my 2nd Adsense check.
It’s been 9 months since my last Adsense check, and I just ended April with just about $97.00, only $3.00 short of a second check being sent out. Guess it looks like it will take me 10 months. Still though, that’s a vast improvement over my first check that took me 12 months to get.
I’m not telling you to click on ads, but I am saying once more…They are there for you to look at and *maybe* click on just as much as they’re for me to make a little money to cover my hosting bill, so please don’t be shy.
Google Adsense back up!
One thing I forgot to add when I had to re-create my blog was Google Adsense. Sadly this has put a huge dent in my earnings and I may not get my check by the end of April. I am so close to getting a check currently hovering around $92. I am not telling you to click on the ads or anything like that, just letting all my readers know that they are back. Certainly I can tell you not completely ignore them. Ads are their for your convenience as there might be something related to a story on my blog that interests you. It took me a year to get my first Google Adsense check and I would really like to do better this time, and I’ve only got about 3 months to do it (I started Google Adsense in July).
