Keira Knightley on HD-DVD

Pride and Prejudice HD-DVD
I bought a Keira Knightley movie on HD-DVD! The movie is Pride and Prejudice. Not really a movie that one would typically need on HD-DVD, but since it is Keira Knightley and the price was nice, I decided to buy it.

Those of you who follow my keira movie list will know that I already had this movie on DVD. It is simple really, it’s called ebay. Surprisingly, I paid $14.95 of the HD-DVD and my DVD version is selling for a nice price of $9.50 right now.

Here is the link to my DVD auction: Pride Prejudice - Keira Knightley eBay Auction.

Lindsay Lohan Topless (in New York Magainze)

It’s always amazing to see the fall of a celebrity forced into the covers of Playboy magazine when they need money. Lindsay Lohan has had her fair share of problems. However, somehow she pushes on starring in a new movie each year. She’s not gone yet. In fact, I guess some are comparing her to Marilyn Monroe or at least New York Magazine is. They recently had Burt Stern, the photographer who was the last one to ever hold a photo shoot with the late Marilyn Monroe re-create that photo shoot with Lindsay Lohan.

There are plenty more photos floating around the internet from the photo shoot, but this is probably the best one:
Lindsay Lohan Topless

I’m pretty stunned. As much as I have shown some dis-interest in a lot of Lindsay’s work there is no denying that she has talent or that she is an attractive woman. In some ways this sets her apart from a lot of other American actreesses who have a negative attitude about nudity that you just don’t see in British actresses like Keira Knightley or Tamsin Egerton. Well done Lindsay!

On a side note, I believe that New York magazine is a reputable magazine, not on the level of Playboy at all. I am curious as to how they will be able to get away with this in America? If anyone knows more about the magazine feel free to enlighten me.

2 months of no PayPerPost

NO PayPerPost logo!

As shocking as this is, you might be surprised to know that this blog went a full 2 months without doing a PayPerPost opportunity (not including PayPerPost Direct offers). I am not about to tell you if this post or the previous one is in fact the PayPerPost opportunity because it doesn’t matter. The last PayPerPost opportunity I did was December 18th…until now. The reason I was not taking any PayPerPost offers for awhile was because I felt my blog was getting far too saturated with forced subject matter. Over the past 2 months I have posted about many different topics including sports, politcs, movies, video games, and even nature. Sadly though, despite all the fun I have been having posting about whatever was on my mind, my blog did suffer a little bit. Posting over the past 2 months has been in-consistent and very sporadic.

I am hoping that starting back up with PayPerPost on my blog will give me some motivation to write a little more often. PayPerPost did this for me in the past. I know the errors I made in the past though. I won’t let my blog become to saturated with PayPerPost content.

Paying off my Credit Cards

Well, I’ve been out of college for close to 2 months now. I am happy to report that after just 2 more paychecks one of my credit cards will be totally paid off! The 2nd credit card will take a little longer. However, once I pay off the first one I think I may look for a new credit card that has low APR for fair credit since my credit score should increase when I have the one paid off. Thus, I should be able to get a very favorable interest rate that I can move my 2nd one over to and then not have to worry about it as much since it will have a lower interest rate.

I am planning on using the internet and resources like CreditNet to help me find a credit card that has a good interest rate and gives me good rewards. Basically, from this point on, even as I pay off my new credit card I will probably still continue to use it and thus it has to have much better rewards and benefits than my existing one. CreditNet has many documents and peer chat to help you make a decision in deciding which credit card you’ll want to keep for the long term. However, it even goes beyond that and helps merchants accept credit card payments on their websites. Who knows, maybe soon you will be able to buy some apexad.net t-shirts!

This will be a re-occurring post on my blog for awhile as I pay off my credit cards and look for a new one to keep for the long term.

Anyone else out there working on paying off a credit card? or thinking about getting a credit card? Share your stories!

I bought 2 More HD-DVDs!

So you may have heard that some “source at Toshiba” says that Toshiba is going to get out of the HD-DVD player market. Who cares! In fact, this is good news, not bad news for owners of HD-DVD players. We are seeing crazy deals. Amazon has 100 for 50% Off, Best Buy has all 3 Matrix moves for $45, and even Xploited Cinema is slashing prices. Warner Bros is likely to still release HD-DVD until May 2008 and Universal and Paramount/Dreamworks have yet to say if they’re switching.

Resident Evil HD-DVDAnyway, the 2 movies I got are both imports from Germany that I bought from Xploited Cinema. They are, Resident Evil (which is a Blu-Ray Exlusive in the United States) and Elephant’s Dream (not released on any format in the United States) - which is a digital short film that features awesome extras like hd-sd comparison and vc-1 codec versus mepg-2 codec.

I’m planning on buying many more HD-DVDs in the very near future as prices fall like crazy. It’s a little sad to know that it’s pretty likely that I will have to switch back to DVD come May-July. However, my parents HD-DVD player, and the one I AM STILL PLANNING ON BUYING will upconvert standard DVDs very nicely.

While I love my Sony Ericcson phone and my new Sony Bluetooth headphones (for my phone) and several movies released by Sony, I look at their record with with new data formats and become scared. Betamax anyone? UMD Movies? Mini-Disc?
