Life lately
My job is going well. Obviously starting any new job there is a lot of stuff to learn, but after only 2 days I have already contributed to the company. I’m very happy with my job up until this point. My co-workers seem pretty cool. I’ll probably continue to post about my job in the future.
Christmas/Hanukkah were both great this year. I got a new xbox 360 with HDMI, a packer inflatable chair, a packer calendar, lots of money, and something else very special that I’ll make a post about soon. Certainly there was some gifts I wanted that I did not get, like Assassin’s Creed for Xbox 360, but I will probably buy it on my own pretty shortly.
I am officially moved out of my parents house. I am actually living with my sister, probably for 2 months or so. Then, I am finally going to get my own place! I am pretty excited about that, but more on that later as well.
It’s about due time I start looking for a woman. However, I have not actually gotten a paycheck yet. When I do get a paycheck, the hunt will begin for a woman. More on that later.
I lost Fantasy Football 1st Place by just 1 point
I cannot believe this! I was so excited this year. I entered fantasy football playoffs as the 3rd seed this year, and one the first match-up. 4th place also upset 1st place (the one with Tom Brady), so it was a battle between the 3rd seed and 4th seed for league domination in the end. I decided to play my odds and pick up Dieon Branch and bench Chris Chambers. It turned out to be a terrible decision, as I lost in the final round of the playoffs 147-146.
My name was Anchorage Eskimos:

Judging by the icon, I got beat by a girl, I think. That seems to be a common thing in Fantasy Football. I just don’t understand it. Surely it’s all just luck.
Still though, in my second year of Fantasy Football with the same group, I’ve gone from 4th to 2nd. I’d say that’s pretty good.
I start my new job next week!
I’m finally done with college, at least for now. I have to wait for grades to be exactly sure where I go from here. However, I will be starting my new job on December 27th. I am very excited about it. I don’t really want to give too many details but basically it’s a company that provides Internet and other services to a specific business sector. To accomplish this the company uses custom routers powered by linux, apache, php, and perl. My job will be a software engineer and I will be programming these boxes to do what we need them to do.
I’ll probably have a follow up to this post around the 29th, after I’ve been at the job o give more details and to show my excitement for it all.
A custom Ron Paul sign
As you know from previous posts, I am supporting Ron Paul for the Republican presidential candidate this year. The biggest thing that Ron Paul needs is his name and message spread to as many people as possible. I think one of the ways I could accomplish this it to have some custom signs made to put on my car, in my yard, and possibly other places.
I am thinking I will use BuildASign.com which is a company that specializes in making custom signs for banners, car magnets, real estate signs, parking, political, or plywood signs. Obviously since it is an internet company it’s very easy to control what your going to get. You become the designer of the sign using templates. This of course also can save you a great deal of money since as an internet company BuildASign.com can charge lower prices than other sign designers. Although you will have to wait for the signs to be shipped to you, it’s worth the wait since your are paying less.
Anyone else have any customs signs that they would want made? Perhaps you’ve always wanted your own street sign.
Bye Bye Wallpaper
Immediately following the writing of this post, I will be completely removing the Gallery and Wallpaper section and forwarding it to Dual Monitor Babes. I feel I have let them exist dually long enough and the Google search bot cannot seem to get the hint yet. In the last month apexad.net/wallpaper has received over 2,000 visitors which should now be going to Dual Monitor Babes.
