Small game hunting season coming soon!
This year, for the first time in my life I decided to buy a Sportsman’s License. Basically, it is 1 sheet of paper (plus a back tag for deer hunting) that gives me a fishing license, small game License, and a deer hunting license all in one. I did save a little bit of money on it which is nice, but that money is also worth nearly nothing if I don’t use the license to the fullest.
This means I will have to go small game hunting this year. I just looked on my DNR website and found out that it starts September 15th which will probably be coming surprisingly soon considering it is less than 2 months away. Since it has been awhile since I have been small game hunting, I am looking into Ghillie Suits as something I might be buying to increase my success of not being seen by animals in the woods. (If you don’t know what a Ghillie Suit is please click the link and see. It’s pretty wild to see one for the first time.)
To avoid obvious questions from non-hunter reading my blog, Blaze Orange is only required during deer hunting. Do any of you go small game hunting? If so, what do you usually where to hide from the animals?
Movie Review: Princess of Thieves

Warning: this review may contain some minor spoilers
I told you that I was still Keira Knightley obsessed and had just recently bought one of her movies on DVD. This is that movie. She starred in this movie when in 2001 (she was 16 years old). The movie was created by Disney. Since Disney later casts her for Pirates of the Caribbean you have to think they thought she did a good job in this movie. Keira Knightley is about the only name you will recognize in the movie (maybe Malcolm McDowell as well). However…at the time of this movie Keira Knightley was not famous at all, yet she is more or less the star, as she is in fact the ‘Princess of Thieves.’
Overall the movie is pretty good, but in general it’s far too predictable. Looking at the IMDB page for the movie, I am thinking this was a made for TV movie (low budget) and it does show. There are some good parts though. The Princess of thieves enters an archery contest. Can you guess if and how she wins? Will she follow in Dad’s footsteps? Otherwise the whole story is all about King Richard on his death bed. Robin Hood (and his Daughter) venture out on a quest to bring King Richard’s illegitimate son out of France to England to take over the thrown instead of Prince John.
Keira Knightley is definitely the highlight of the movie, but she still can’t save it’s fate. I give it a 2.5 out of 5 stars.
