Small game hunting season coming soon!

This year, for the first time in my life I decided to buy a Sportsman’s License. Basically, it is 1 sheet of paper (plus a back tag for deer hunting) that gives me a fishing license, small game License, and a deer hunting license all in one. I did save a little bit of money on it which is nice, but that money is also worth nearly nothing if I don’t use the license to the fullest.

This means I will have to go small game hunting this year. I just looked on my DNR website and found out that it starts September 15th which will probably be coming surprisingly soon considering it is less than 2 months away. Since it has been awhile since I have been small game hunting, I am looking into Ghillie Suits as something I might be buying to increase my success of not being seen by animals in the woods. (If you don’t know what a Ghillie Suit is please click the link and see. It’s pretty wild to see one for the first time.)

To avoid obvious questions from non-hunter reading my blog, Blaze Orange is only required during deer hunting. Do any of you go small game hunting? If so, what do you usually where to hide from the animals?

Movie Review: Princess of Thieves

Princess of Thieves Cover
Warning: this review may contain some minor spoilers

I told you that I was still Keira Knightley obsessed and had just recently bought one of her movies on DVD. This is that movie. She starred in this movie when in 2001 (she was 16 years old). The movie was created by Disney. Since Disney later casts her for Pirates of the Caribbean you have to think they thought she did a good job in this movie. Keira Knightley is about the only name you will recognize in the movie (maybe Malcolm McDowell as well). However…at the time of this movie Keira Knightley was not famous at all, yet she is more or less the star, as she is in fact the ‘Princess of Thieves.’

Overall the movie is pretty good, but in general it’s far too predictable. Looking at the IMDB page for the movie, I am thinking this was a made for TV movie (low budget) and it does show. There are some good parts though. The Princess of thieves enters an archery contest. Can you guess if and how she wins? Will she follow in Dad’s footsteps? Otherwise the whole story is all about King Richard on his death bed. Robin Hood (and his Daughter) venture out on a quest to bring King Richard’s illegitimate son out of France to England to take over the thrown instead of Prince John.

Keira Knightley is definitely the highlight of the movie, but she still can’t save it’s fate. I give it a 2.5 out of 5 stars.

The best Brewers game I’ve been to

Yesterday I went to a Milwaukee Brewers game. It started out being not so good, because I beat all my friends to the game and had to wait about 45 minutes for them. However, once they got there and I got some beer and a burger, it got better really quickly. Then, thanks to one of the posters over at Brew Crew Blog I got constant score updates.

Finally, when I actually got my ticket and went in around the 5th inning, I realized something. I was in section 125/124 and only 20 rows up. It was right behind 3rd base. I could actually read ‘BRAUN’ on the back of Ryan Braun’s jersey. That was pretty damn cool. By far these were the best tickets I have ever had to a Brewers game, and the best part of all was that they did not cost me hardly any money. (I don’t know if I am allowed to say how much they cost since I went as part of a company-sponsored event.)

Then, at the end of the game, when I thanked the guy who bought me the tickets, he said he’ll call me about the Giants game next month.

Also, while I was at the game, I picked up 4 tickets for the Arizona Diamondbacks game on July 18th and only paid $13 for 4 tickets since me and some friends had some free ones coming thanks to Applebee’s and Pizza Hut.

I never really liked Baseball all that much, but now days I am beginning to like it more and more. Thanks, Battle Rifle, Nate, and Mr. Master System Library. Of course it does help that the Brewers are doing damn good this year.

New television coming soon…don’t get burned

I’m not talking about technology, so don’t get any ideas. I am talking about new series coming on television. One such series is USA Network’s Burn Notice which will premiere very soon. Never heard of a Burn Notice? Here is the official definition:

BURN NOTICE (bûrn nō’tÄs) n.

1. An official statement by one intelligence agency to other agencies, domestic or foreign, that an individual or group is unreliable.

So, the series is basically about a CIA agent who is on assignment overseas. He suddenly receives a Burn Notice. Basically, for him, he has been fired, has no creditability. I personally think he deiced to be a little to much like James Bond. He hooked up with the town hottie in some poor town. She’s that hot because she is funded by some secret drug running ring. He slips and lets her know he’s a CIA agent. Then, the local Splinter Cell agent who keeps an eye on the CIA agents finds out he told her his true identity. In less time than you can say ‘tell someone’, the Splinter Cell has already contacted the United States Government and informed them that this particular CIA agent needs to be burned.

Of course, that’s not the real story, or maybe it is. You are going to have to check out the Burn Notice website and actually watch the series to find out the true story of what really happened to CIA agent Michael Westen (who is played by Jeffery Donovan). Other characters incluce Fiona Glenanne (played by Gabrielle Anwar) and Sam Axe (played by Bruce Campbell).

New ‘non-safe’ Wallpaper addition

I mentioned her once before on this blog. Some would say she has the edge on Keira Knightley for the hottest import from England. Although, since as far as I know she still lives in England, we’ll still give Keira Knightley the edge. Secondly she’s not exactly my type, hot? yes, just not my type.

I am talking about Keeley Hazell and she’s not safe for work in my wallpaper section. Of course this is not to say that any of my wallpaper is, but in the case of Keeley there’s nothing covering up the top, plus I even threw in a 3200×1200 version of the wallpaper.

So, go check out Keeley Hazell, Keira Knightley, Jessica Alba, Kirsten Dunst, Mila Kunis, Anna Kournikova, and a few more celebrities in my dual monitor wallpaper section Here is the NSFW section if that’s all you are looking for..

One more thing too… I ‘d like to take this opportunity to announce a brand new site that should hopefully be up soon: Dual Monitor Babes dot Com.
