Learning how to write
Having a successful blog usually means the person knows how to write and tell a story. That’s what we would all like to hope, but the truth of the matter is that’s probably not the case. In my own life I have attempted to write a movie/story that is partly based on real life. The hardest part for me is coming up with an ending. I have been struggling with it for almost a year. In fact, I have almost given up. I’ve looked into many resources that teach someone how to write a book or a movie/story, but since you are only learning generic concepts it is sometimes hard to take what you have learned and apply it.
Recently though I found a pretty cool website located at http://www.writequickly.com/ that I will be checking out. The claim is it can help me write my next book or script in 28 days working just 1 hour a day. That’s pretty damn good.
Do any of you want to learn to write better? Interested in paying $49.95 to learn? When I know that I will indeed have an hour to spend everyday on this I may pick my movie script back up, and look into this course.
Also, let me know if you want to see an excerpt of my movie script. I could write up another post with that in it.
Fun Memorial Day!
Memorial Day was pretty fun yesterday. It was my friend’s birthday and we went to a baseball game, tailgated, got drunk, and watched our team lose. Afterwards we went to Hooters though and had some chicken wings. Then when just about everyone else proceeded to the bars I headed home. I didn’t really feel up to drinking like crazy only a few days before I begin work.
At any rate, it was a pretty fun time. The friend turned 21 and got really drunk. I have not heard anything yet from the other people, but my guess is that he puked as he got pretty crazy drunk! Hopefully this post will get some comments as too what happened after I left.
Ever wanted a tattoo?
It’s interesting that as of late it seems that more and more celenrities have tattoos. I don’t know if they are real or fake but in Pirates of the Caribbean 3 - At Worlds End Johnny Depp has loads of tattoos. To be quite honest I used to not like them and saw little to no point. However, as of late my interest has peaked a little bit. Besides the celebrity connection I recently saw a TV program about it, had some present research about it in a class, and I figure sooner while I am young and still a little stupid is the best time. Of course the problem then becomes removing it when I am older and wiser (although I’d probably get something across my shoulder or upper arm where it would not be a hassle to cover it up).
However, I recently stumbled onto a very interesting pheonomen. If you are scared to get a real tattoo, you can always get a temporary airbrush tattoo. In fact, if you follow that link you can even buy your own equipment and designs.
Have any of you ever thought about getting a tattoo. Do you think I am crazy for possibly wanting one?
I saw Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End
Today, since I am at home with my parents for a couple of weeks I convinced them it would be a good idea to go see the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie (since my parents know of my devotion to Keira Knightley and Jessica Alba). They paid for it, and so I could not complain about anything. The movie was a great cap to the trilogy. It had a lot of twists and turns and I hardly expected the ending. Keira Knightley was looking as hot as ever. In fact, she was nearly goddess like (you’ll get that when you see the movie). However, that being said, the character Elizabeth Swann is a little tramp. She kisses even more of the guys in this movie, and even some you won’t expect. Anyway, above all I definitely still recommend that you go see it.
Lastly, I’d like to thank KeriaWeb for letting me know to stay past the credits. I am passing this knowledge on to you! Stay past the credits! There is an extra seen. A far better ending than the movie gives you.
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End
This movie comes out tomorrow.
Besides the fact that Keira Knightley is in it, it promises to be a pretty damn good movie. The 2nd Pirates of the Caribbean was the 3rd highest grossing film (worldwide) ever (on IMDB). I would really like to see this one do slightly better than the previous and finally de-thrown the horrible movie you may have heard of called Titanic. Titanic was far too long and definitely not deserving of the top spot on the highest grossing movie list. If you agree with me then go see Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. Every ticket sale counts, and I would hope that everyone that went and saw the second one goes to see the 3rd one, plus, if new people see it, it has a genuine chance of breaking the record.
I went to the 2nd one twice actually. I don’t know if I will go to the 3rd one twice, but that does not mean that you shouldn’t!
I’ll make another post about this movie once I see it to let you all know what I thought about it.
